Danvers Herald: Ice cream social to benefit Ritzer fund in Danvers
Putnam Pantry Candies will be hosting an ice cream social to benefit the Colleen Ritzer Memorial Fund on Saturday, March 29, from noon to 4 p.m. One hundred percent of the profits received during this time will go directly to the Colleen Ritzer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
According to the scholarship fund, in honor of Ritzer’s passion to create a lasting legacy, the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Scholarship was established to benefit Andover and Danvers High School seniors who demonstrate a passion for teaching, academic excellence and love of family. Applicants must also plan to pursue a degree in the field of education at an accredited four-year college or university in the fall of 2014.
